MADISONBLUE Inc. (hereinafter "MADISONBLUE"), in collaboration with Atelier Etoile Inc. (hereinafter "Atelier Etoile"), has begun a continuous supply of upcycled tabliers (aprons) made from surplus materials generated during the manufacturing process.
This initiative involves deconstructing and reconstructing our classic back-satin midi flare skirts, transforming them into tabliers—aprons worn by mediators (professionals who facilitate thinking through questioning and dialogue) in art education settings. Through this endeavor, MADISONBLUE aims to build a new support model that balances art education initiatives with environmental considerations.
Atelier Etoile develops art education programs centered on children, connecting French cultural and artistic content with Japanese educational settings. MADISONBLUE decided to participate in this project after resonating with the company's educational philosophy, which prioritizes thinking and dialogue.
The provided tabliers are designed for long-term use in practical settings, featuring functionality and originality that anticipate the movements of the mediators. Through craftsmanship that balances environmental awareness with creativity, we aim to pass on sustainable values to the next generation.
Atelier Etoile will continue to collaborate with various companies to hold art workshops for children, where mediators will wear these tabliers in all studio sessions.
Atelier Etoile Inc.
Atelier Etoile develops art education programs centered on children with the goal of opening up new possibilities for art education in Japan. By placing the process of "feeling, thinking, and engaging in dialogue" through art at the heart of learning, the company focuses on cultivating creative thinking that goes beyond the mere acquisition of knowledge and skills. It also emphasizes the role of mediators in connecting children with artworks and others, creating learning environments where diverse perspectives can coexist.
