REPETTO ROSE DENIM

Repetto's iconic "ROSE" shoes are made using a unique manufacturing method called "stitch-and-return."

As the name suggests (stitch = sew, return = turn inside out), this method involves sewing the sole and upper together with a thick thread while inside out, then turning them right side out to create the shoe. This is the same mechanism used to create ballet shoes for dance.

Because no stiff core material (hard material to maintain the shoe's shape) is used, unlike in typical shoes, they are extremely soft and mold well to the foot, offering a distinctive feeling of comfort that cradles the toes. On the other hand, there are individual differences inherent in handmade items, such as slight variations in size fit and form.

■ Special Order Details

For the body, we chose denim material, characteristic of MADISONBLUE, for the classic "ROSE" model. The side buttons use denim of different shades to create the appearance of pearl buttons.

This pair offers a MADISONBLUE-esque contrast with its casual material and feminine shape. The stable 3cm heel makes them easy to walk in, and they can be enjoyed in various styles, such as with denim or socks.

■ About Sole Protection
Repetto's leather soles use split leather that easily conforms to the ground, so the brand does not recommend adding protective sole covers.

This is because the sole is originally rounded to conform to the foot, but adding a protective cover can pull the sole, putting stress on the stitching and upper, and creating risks such as cracks appearing in the instep. Additionally, there is the disadvantage that the breathability from the sole, which is maintained by using leather, is compromised.

*If you choose to apply sole protection, please understand in advance that you do so at your own discretion and responsibility. In such cases, we suggest using the thinnest possible rubber.

■ Care Instructions
Use waterproofing spray from new. Applying waterproofing spray before using new shoes creates a thin protective film that helps prevent scratches and dirt, making subsequent care easier and extending their lifespan. While they are very supple and mold well to the foot, they have the disadvantage of being prone to losing their shape. We recommend letting them rest for at least a day after each day of wear.

Exchanges and returns are only accepted if the product is unused and remains free of scratches or dirt. The soles are made of leather and are easily damaged; when trying on shoes, please do so on a soft surface such as a rug to prevent scratches or dirt from adhering to the soles.
